bose interaudio 4000xl

hi... i am about to stir up some more trouble going on about bose
speakers, but, i have just picked up 2 pairs of bose interaudio 4000xl
speakers and they sound great! im running them with my denon 105 watt
amp and the sound is very dynamic and powerful. bose have a mixed
reputation but it seems to be the value for money that seems to be the
problem. i paid 250 dollars on ebay for 2 pairs and they sound better
than my dads b&w dm640's!!

don't forget the monster cable interconnects and speaker cable. Then you'll
have a system that rivals quad esl's

He's taking the mickey by recommending Monster interconnect and speaker
cable, another brand regarded with the same scepticism as Bose by the
hi-fi crowd.

In the end if you like them, enjoy them. If you don't expect others to
share your opinion you'll be a happy man.

ahhhh thanks matt....just curious has anybody heard the interaudio
range by bose because
they are a very surprising package...especially the big ones...4000xl

I went to a Bose demo at the recent Adelaide Hiome Show - even came away
with the Tshirt and chocolates to prove it. But WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. I
have never heard a worse sounding system. These five pissant speaker pairs
making up the 5, and the .1 being the bass box in the corner. Listening to
the voice made me sick - the lower range of the guy's voice was coming from
the sub whilst the top end was from the tiny little speakers. There was no
imaging at all, but there were all these mums and dads saying "how wonderful
it's so small". Stuff the size if they don't sound any good ...
It's a shame that a sales droid didn't approach me and ask my opinion.
Thats my rant for today.

Have to agree with previous poster regarding their sub/sat series
accoustimas - look great but sound like shit (worse than good computer
speakers)
